Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Joint Ventures

Medical practices and hospitals are increasingly exploring opportunities to partner with other providers to deliver quality health care services through cost-effective means. Balick & Balick advises both hospital and physician clients regarding the legal issues involved in establishing single, multi-specialty, and hospital/physician ambulatory surgery centers, as well as joint ventures focused on the delivery of a specific ancillary service or treatment of a specific disease or illness.

Our attorneys assist clients and their consultants in preparing Certificate of Public Review applications and regularly present such applications to the Delaware Health Resources Board. We also offer guidance on the significant and complex regulatory issues involved in ambulatory surgery centers and other joint ventures, including Anti-Kickback and Stark compliance.
