Joanne Ceballos

Joanne Ceballos handles health law and commercial litigation matters. Her experience in the health law field includes providing advice on federal and state regulatory matters, including fraud and abuse issues, patient privacy and provider reimbursement; preparing and reviewing health care provider employment agreements and other contracts related to providers’ business operations; defending clients in connection with criminal, civil and administrative actions involving alleged violations of state and federal health care laws and regulations; and preparing and assisting with the implementation of health care fraud and abuse compliance programs.

Prior to joining Balick & Balick, Ms. Ceballos was a partner at a large Wilmington law firm representing clients primarily in federal court in intellectual property, employment and bankruptcy matters. She continues to represent litigants in Delaware federal and state courts in health-law related matters, intellectual property disputes, and general business litigation.

Ms. Ceballos served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Latchum, Senior Judge, United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and has been a member of the District Court’s Lawyers’ Advisory Committee. She has also been an associate trustee of the Delaware Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection, a committee of the Delaware Supreme Court.
